A new journey (Part 2): Break and rebuild

Apostle Paul presents to us a remarkable life journey but one that also teaches about the various phases of faith growth. His experience was in many ways similar to the other apostles but also unique in its own way. In this sermon we look into the beginning of his journey as an apostle for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Paul’s journey begins with the shattering of his world. Being so confident in what he believed and what he was fighting against, I don’t think he ever imagined himself giving his life for what he once opposed so vigorously. When Paul discovered that the Jesus he was fighting was indeed the Savior, it must have put everything in his life in question. Encountering God can have dramatic effects in our lives. But it is through that process of breaking and rebuilding we rise anew. If we are unafraid of what God can make of our lives, we are sure to discover the fullness of God’s amazing life for us.
